SMART ENERGY has been investing in the energy security and economic development of Ukraine for more than 10 years. The Group does this responsibly, which means understanding that issues relating to environment, social sphere and corporate governance (Environmental, Social and Governance or ESG) affect the performance of the Group.

Based on the responsible investment policy, the Group implements its strategy and builds its activities in accordance with the accepted principles of ethics, safety and environment. We intend to make improvements in our areas of influence.

The Group carefully monitors the consequences of its activities, regularly upgrades the equipment to minimize any negative impact. Strict policies towards product quality, health protection, occupational safety and the environment have also been put in place.

Our business strives for transparency and integrity in everything we do. That is why we do not support bribery and do not get involved in corruption in any form. It is also very important for us that all our stakeholders – from staff members to suppliers and local communities – are well informed about our work and our plans.

We work towards mitigating the impact of our activities on the environment by applying a responsible attitude to production methods, careful coordination of our activities, by using only high-quality materials certified under international standards, and by regularly upgrading our technologies and processes.
The Group’s companies have been accredited in accordance with the environmental standard ISO 14001:2006 Environmental Management Systems. Our occupational safety, health, environmental and product quality (QHSE) policy has been developed with the aim to raise standards in these areas.
Regular monitoring of environmental indicators in all projects guarantees continuous control over the impact of production on the environment ensuring the possibility of rapid response.
